Current Involvement

Working in Bangladesh Online  (A BEXIMCO Company) as Senior Manager, Marketing & Communication  from August 2007 till date.

Responsibilities:

  • Formulating & Implementing Marketing Plans & Strategies for BOL products & Services.
  • Business Development for new Corporate Prospects.
  • Branding, Promotion and Events Management.
  • Maintaining liaison with the Ad agencies for advertisement in different media.
  • Strategic and cost effective media planning for target audience with high reach.
  • Procurement of different promotional items for consumer promotion and incentives for the distributors and resellers.
  • Events Management for different type of promotions.
  • Follow up distributors for Product delivery and payment collections.
  • Monitoring daily Sales and supervising sales team to achieve monthly sale target.
  • Preparing Monthly Sales Report and evaluation those reports to get sales trend.
  • Daily and monthly Inventory Management by keeping track records.

Professional Experiance

Þ Worked in DNS Software Ltd. (A Sister concern of DNS Group) as Business Development Manager from 26 April 2006 till July 2007

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing Marketing Plans and proposals for different products.
  • Follow up implementation of monthly sales achievements of sales people.
  • Arrangement of SMS based (mobile content) events in different media.
  • Maintain liaisons with different media (print, electronics, internet) for SMS based events. 
  • Arrangements of different events, like Press Conference, Seminar, Symposium & Trade show.
  • Maintaining Liaisons between Clients & Organization for customized SMS based services & software requirements.
  • Arrangement of Software presentation & Demonstration to clients.
  • Planning and conducting thorough market research for different purposes.

Þ    Worked in Banglalink as Senior Sales Executive, from July 17, 2005 till February 20 2006.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies and plan to achieve sales target of Direct Sales.
  • Supervise daily sales operations of Chittagong Direct Sales booth.
  • Guide the team members to define their respective career paths and develop themselves to achieve job objectives.
  • Monitor daily sales operations in Chittagong branch.
  • Assign and rotate people to different responsibilities to give them an overall on-hand experience of running the sales operation of Banglalink.
  • Support establishing Direct Sales Store in Chittagong as per Project Plans.

Þ    Worked in Bangladesh Online Limited (A BEXIMCO Company) as Manager, Marketing and Distribution (From November 29, 2000 till July 12, 2005)

=>Worked as Teaching Assistant in North South University in different BBA courses.

Major responsibilities was to assist the faculty in preparing course materials, maintaining course related records, helping the students outside the class with course materials, guiding the students with their projects & performing any other academic job as assigned by the supervising faculty. (From May 1998 to February 2000).


=>Worked in Adcomm Limited, a well-established advertising agency in Bangladesh, affiliated with Ammirati Puris Lintas worldwide and Bates Dorland worldwide agencies. I worked as a Media Executive in charge of Lever Brothers Bangladesh Limited Products (From January19, 1997 to April 30, 1999).

Responsibilities:
Preparing monthly advertising plans and proposals for different products in different media (TV, Radio and Print).Preparing budget for the various Consumer promotion and Events.Maintaining liaison between the Client and different media owners.

=>Worked as an intern in National Bank Limited. (Research work which I had done in NBL was Marketing Strategy and Liquidity Management in NBL (From August 1996 to December 1996).

  • Participated in professional development workshop on “Brand Planning Motorbike” A learn-by-doing workshop jointly organized by Univbrands India & Bdjobs.
  • Participated in training course on “Marketing & Sales Promotion” organized by Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI).
  • Participated in professional development workshop on “Written Business Communication” organized by Bdjobs.  
  • Participated in training course on “Developing Distribution Network for Marketing Products” organized by Business Advisory Service (BAS), German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) and Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI).
  • Participated in short course on “Interior Design” (three months) organized by Alliance Francaise de Dacca.
